Best of Rhode Island 2008 Editors' Picks

It may not be much to look at, but Haruki's latest outpost, across the street from Brown and up the block from RISD, was born to be a success. This is not the pre-packaged sushi that you find at your local market; everything--from spicy tuna rolls to unagi--is made to order. Be sure to check out the mini-pantry that stocks dried nori, spicy squid snacks, Asian gummies, udon noodles and bottles of Haruki's own (much beloved) sesame dressing. If only they had a drive-through, we'd never even have to put on pants.
