Pat Lowney's new place (six months and counting) on the West Side may not get quite as much attention as Nicks; nevertheless, it's establishing a crowd of admirers for its cross-ethnic menu. Everything is a down-home favorite--from many different homes, that is. Chicken and waffles, braised brisket and turkey meatloaf are made modern with the addition of edamame risotto and sundried tomato pesto. At press time, the restaurant still didn't have a dessert menu, but every dinner comes with a complimentary (and delicious) chocolate mousse.
