Trinity Rep Players Are Back. With Benefits!

Trinity Rep Players Are Back. With Benefits!

No, Joe Wilson Jr isn't available for dates. At least, not as far as I know. (If I'm wrong - hey Joe, let me know!)
BUT, you can watch him flirt surprisingly shyly with the camera on Trinity Rep's new video preview of season opener Camelot. A must for Trinity mavens - and I know you're out there, you sit behind me every time I go see anything there and make loud, knowing comments about the actors all the way through - it's a great opportunity to see how the cast and director see their jobs. And in the case of this Arthurian musical extravaganza, it's especially interesting, since this is not the kind of thing I've ever seen there before and I can't wait to see how they pull it off.
(And yes, I'm pretty psyched that Mr. Wilson is playing Lancelot.)
This vid is on vimeo because, at around 10 mins, it's a long 'un, but our friends at Trinity say regular offerings will also appear at www.youtube.com/trinityrep.
They also report, by the way, that upmarket-bar-and-munchies crawl Savor Providence was a grand success, netting $9,000 for the organization's educational programs. Which are really great, as my daughter knows first-hand.

From Trinity:
New to this season, every show taking place on Trinity Rep’s main stages will have an inside scoop, “preview” piece associated with it, available for viewing on YouTube or Vimeo. Directors, designers, and actors are all fair game for these pieces, which will give viewers a better idea of what they can expect from the production. It’s my pleasure to be able to show you the video for Camelot, which runs September 10 – October 10 at Trinity Rep.  Please take a moment to join Artistic Director Curt Columbus as well as actors Rebecca Gibel, Stephen Thorne, and Joe Wilson Jr. give you insight into this re-imagined musical masterpiece:
