Smoke, Pickles + Tunes

Yesterday a couple of us spent the morning out in Westport planning an upcoming entertaining feature with Dan George and Chris Ash from the fabulous Smoke & Pickles. We sat on their porch and talked logistics, food, photos, etc. We snacked on smoked bluefish topped with pickled rhubarb. And then we talked music. 

You'll have to wait awhile to read the feature (it won't be out 'til next summer) or to book a party with S&P (their event season ends in November), but you can catch Chris playing the fiddle this weekend. She's in a Cajun band called Magnolia, and they're performing as part of their dance series in Bristol. Dance instruction kicks off at 7:30 -- you know you need it -- and the dance starts at 8 p.m.
