Category-4 Chocolate
Yesterday, while Rhode Islanders stocked up on batteries and flashlights in preparation for Hurricane Earl, I was more concerned with tracking down this toasted coconut ice cream I had a year ago from Lickety Splits located in the South County Commons. Rather than head back to the Commons, I instead went to the Lickety Splits on Route 108 by the University of Rhode Island.
Unfortunately, they didn't have toasted coconut, but they had "Extreme Chocolate," double chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and fudge. With the generous size of a small cup, the portion was perfect and it was a rich and tasty consolation (though it walked a fine line of being too chocolatey). The "Milky Way" flavor on the menu also intrigued me and the "Moose Tracks" that my friend had looked delicious. For a small cup of ice cream and a bottle of water to wash it down, expect to pay just over $4.
Although "Extreme Chocolate" has temporarily calmed my need for toasted coconut, the quest continues.
