Now is a good time to shop for yourself or someone else! There’s a lot going on in the fashion world this week, including today’s opening of the Nordstrom Rack store at the Warwick Mall, today's StyleWeek designer sample sale and an ongoing Andrea Valentini moving sale.

Nordstrom Rack Opening: Rhode Island’s first off-price division of Nordstrom opened today at the Warwick Mall, meaning you can get all kinds of designer discounted items, many marked 50 to 60 percent off. Expect luxury brands like Marc by Marc Jacobs, BCBG, Calvin Klein, Tory Burch, Vince and many others. The merchandise will change weekly with incoming shipments, and they have a huge bag and shoe selection. 400 Bald Hill Rd., Warwick. Follow their Twitter feed for sale news and updates. @Warwick_Rack

StyleWeek Sale: Today from noon-8 p.m., there’s a designer holiday sample sale at StyleWeek headquarters including clothing from Susan Troy, EXIT by NITZA and Joseph Aaron Segal, and bags by Kent Stetson. The designers will also be taking custom orders, selling runway samples and offering discounts. Today, noon-8 p.m., StyleWeek offices, 269 South Main St., Providence.

Andrea Valentini Holiday Deals: Andrea Valentini is moving out of her Conley’s Wharf shop on Allens Avenue in Providence. According to Andrea’s facebook page, and a giant sign on the window of her storefront, the noise of clanking scrap metal got to be too much for the talented handbag and home goods designer. It’s time! This Friday from 2-7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., you must get over to her shop as she will be offering 30 to 70 percent discounts on bags, jewelry and home decor. The store will continue to offer discounted items on Friday and Saturday hours through the last week of December. We are investigating Andrea’s next move and will update you as soon as we have more information. 200 Allens Ave., Providence, 467-7104, andreavalentini.com.
