Helpful Hangover Tips
'Tis the season to indulge -- or in our case, overindulge. Knowing we may have a little more Champagne than we should tomorrow night, we decided to come to the party prepared. Here's what three local bartenders say you should do to prevent that oh-so-pleasant I-think-I've-been-run-over-by-a-freight-train-carrying-cotton-balls side effect often linked to forgetting the meaning of moderation. Cheers!
Steve Lydon, bar manager, Capital Grille, Providence
"Make the last three drinks big glasses of water and take two asprin with the last glass. The next morning, go for a really fatty breakfast, like bacon and eggs."
Kyle Poland, bartender, Ten Prime Steak & Sushi, Providence
"Right when you wake up, take a shot of room-temperature vodka (it numbs everything). Then take two Excedrin and go back to bed." As a side note, Kyle cautions: "If you have to go to work, make sure your brush your teeth, so they don't smell the booze."
Pietro Verte, bar manager, Cafe Longo, Providence
"The next day, have one of the same thing you were drinking the night before. Half-way through the drink, you'll feel better."

If I know I'm going to get trashed, I head over to Whole Foods and pick up some coconut water. I'll have a pint or two before bed and I'm good to go in the morning. It's a great natural hydrater.
Del's Lemonade, of course is the ~BEST~ hangover cure! Sugar, lemon and frozen water, can't beat that!
