A "Savor"-y End of Summer Treat

Aug 10, 2010 - 03:00 PM

And so we've begun the inevitable countdown to the end of summer. It happens every year, yet its no less disappointing when it does. But fear not! There's plenty of fun to be had still. One great event that came across my desk recently is Savor Providence, the annual showcase of the city's best culinary offerings. How it works is that participants can buy books of ten "tastes" for $35, which gives them access to participating restaurants and a sampling of a dish. This year's list of restaurants includes Cuban Revolution, Gracie's, Mill's Tavern and Temple Downtown, just to name a few. Last year's event drew 700 hungry diners, so hurry up and buy your book before they run out.

Tickets can be purchased at the Trinity box office, by phone at 351-4242 or online at savorprovidence.com.
